What do you do at iDelivery Solutions Group?
I am an apprentice software developer making a proof of concept for an internal project. That means I am developing all aspects of the of the project whilst testing them alongside the other apprentices. It is quite the learning experience!
What is your favourite part of the job?
Every day brings a fresh challenge, and I mean that in a good way. I’m relatively new to programming so at the moment there is a flood of information and I’m learning a bit at a time. This is what makes it so enjoyable; that I’m slowly gaining an understanding of what was once so complex, but there is still a long way to go.
What would surprise people to know about you?
For the life of me, no matter how much I try to relax and be calm, I can’t float in water.
What is your favourite tech or testing phrase, and why?
“It’s so easy and simple” It’s not…. It never is.
If we were to describe your real passions and absolute dislikes in one sentence – what would that sentence be?
Passions: Being competitive in any format, whether it be rock climbing, running, or even attempting to float.
Dislikes: Someone telling me that I can’t do something, and underestimating me.
What was the last thing you played on Spotify?
My Love – Justin Timberlake
Tell us something you love about working for iDelivery Group?
The fact that the work environment is so very supportive and upbeat. I’m generally used to working more solo at my previous jobs and just getting on with work, but here it’s a lot more interactive and team oriented which is great for morale. It feels much less like work and more of a collaborative effort to build something we are invested in.
